Welcome:

Welcome to our home. The K Way is a 1 acre property that we have prepared for you, our guest.

As you are likely already aware, Ocala is horse country and home to the United States largest Equestrian center. Prior to the World Equestrian Center opening, Ocala was well known for it’s natural springs. From 1835 to 1842 Ocala was the site of the Second Seminole War; a war of various groups of Native Americans vs White Settlers.

During your stay with us, we hope you have the opportunity to explore, dine, rest, and relax. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant, please ask via your booking app (AirBnB, VRBO, Booking.com…) and we will do our best to accommodate your request. In the event of an EMERGENCY, please call Bob at (720)254-9566; all other communications shall be made through the booking app.

House Rules:

Our most important rule; enjoy your stay.
Check-in is 3pm and check-out is no later than 10am. Stays past 10am will result in additional charges of $75/hr.
Absolutely no smoking inside the home, this includes vapes. Outside smoking is permitted but please be respectful and place your butts in the “Butt Can” can located in the carport.
Please do not place anything other than natural waste and toilet paper in the toilets. This includes items marketed as “Flushable”.
Storage sheds are not accessible to guests.
If you are waking up in our home on a Monday morning, we ask that all trash be placed at the roadway for collection before 6am. Roll away cans are often already placed there by maintenance personnel if they were onsite Sunday.
Please NO UNAPPROVED PARTIES! Small parties (maximum of 25 persons including registered guests) may be approved on a case by case basis. All parties must be concluded by 10pm (Sun thru Thurs) and midnight (Fri and Sat). Any unregistered guest staying after hours without permission of property owners, will incur a $75/per guest fee/per day.
On the rare occasions when the outside temp falls below 37 degrees, we ask that 1 faucet be left on a low stream to prevent freezing.
Prior to check-out we ask that all dishes be placed in the dishwasher. All towels may be left hanging in bathrooms and bed linens shall be left in place for removal/cleaning by our cleaning agent.
Immediately report any damages you find upon arriving. Damages incurred during your stay are subject to replacement cost and or professional cleaning fees.
In the event that emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS) is called to the property for ANY reason, the HOST MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY via the app (6am to 11pm) or phone call at (720)254-9566 (11pm to 6am).
Pets are permitted. We do not charge a pet fee however the registered guest is 100% responsible for any professional cleaning required or damages incurred. All pet waste must be picked up and disposed of in the roll-away trash cans. Pet waste bags are provided at the back door. Failure to pickup any pet waste will result in a fee of $25 per pet on property.

You are more than welcome to stay until our 10am checkout time however, if you leave prior to 10 we ask that you message us so we can notify our cleaning personnel that they may enter early. This allows us the potential to permit our next guest the ability to arrive a bit early if they choose.

Gate Instructions:

The front gate is operated by an automatic actuator that is controlled by 2 keypads located on the outside post and on the white post to the left of the driveway as you are exiting. The code is: 1960# Press each button firmly and then allow upto 5 seconds for the gate to begin to open. The gate will automatically close after 5 minutes or by entering the code again.

Wifi & TV:

We offer complimentary high speed Wifi. To access the Wifi simply open your device and search for the Wifi. This will open a page where you will input your name and requested information. Once submitted you will be granted unlimited access.

Network TV is provided via Spectrum app that delivers you over 3,000 channels. To access network tv, turn on the tv using the Roku remote then press the “Home” button and search for Spectrum.

Fire Pit and BBQ Rules:

First and foremost, use common sense!
Firewood and propane are often available but not guaranteed. Please do not cut any trees on the property.
Prior to igniting any fires (including BBQ)
1. Extend the provided garden hose located on the pumphouse and have it charged incase fire gets out of contained areas.
2. Rake all flammable materials away from the firepit and grill area.
Lighter to ignite the fire pit and grill are often (but not promised) available in a drawer located on the kitchen island.
Use of flammable liquids such as lighter fluid or gasoline are NOT permitted.
Use of firepit is not permitted when wind speeds are greater than 10mph.
Burn barrels are for ashes only and not to be used for trash disposal
Fires higher than waist level are not permitted.
A responsible adult must be present at all times.
Fires must be completely extinguished when an adult is not fireside.
Please turn propane tank off when finished.
Registered guest is 100% responsible for damages from any out of control fire.

Concierge Services: All of our concierge services must be prearranged and are not guaranteed to be available for every stay.

Airport Pick-up & Drop-off - We know that taking a cab or a ride-sharing service can be frustrating to say the least. That is why we are happy to offer this service to our guests. Please provide Airline, Flight Number, number of persons traveling, and expected time of arrival and we will arrange for a luxurious ride from the airport to your vacation property. Prices vary based on distance traveled and the number of persons traveling.

Fill the Fridge - Do you want to be ready to cook that special meal shortly after you arrive without the trouble of having to find the grocery store, do the shopping, and toting everything in and out of the car? We understand and we are happy to do the heavy work for you. Simply provide us your detailed grocery list at least 4 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Please include quantities, preferred brands, and any alternatives and we will do the rest for you. $35 plus cost of groceries.

Personal Chef Service - Do you want a quiet and romantic meal for 2 or maybe a catered dinner for a small gathering? No matter the occasion, we can make it special. Let us know what type of cuisine you would like, how many are in your party, as well as any special dietary requests and we will choose the right chef for you. Don”t worry as there will not be any surprises; once we know the details and have chosen the right chef for you, we will work with you to finalize the menu and provide a quote. Our culinary experts are passionate about their craft and will leave your palate craving more.

Relaxing Massage - Want to really get your relaxation on?? Let us book you an In House Swedish Massage. Our licensed and insured masseuse(s) will arrive with all the essentials for you and/or your partner to enjoy a 60, 75, or 90 minute massage. And We Cover The Tipping For You

During your stay with us, we hope you have the opportunity to explore, dine, play, rest, and relax. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate your request. In the event of an EMERGENCY, please call Bob at (720)254-9566.

Our trash pickup day is Wednesday morning, and they often come very early therefore, we ask that all trash be placed at the roadway for collection Tuesday night. Roll away cans are often already placed there by our owner or maintenance personnel if they were onsite Tuesday.

In the event that emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS) is called to the property for ANY reason, the HOST MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY via our messaging platform (6am to 10pm) or phone call at (720)254-9566 (10pm to 6am).
Dogs are welcomed at The Get-A-Way. We do not charge a pet fee however the registered guest is 100% responsible for any professional cleaning required or damages incurred. All pet waste must be picked up and disposed of in the roll-away trash cans located on the side of the house. Pet waste bags are provided and can be found in the laundry room. Failure to pickup any pet waste will result in a fee of $25 per pet on property.

Wifi & TV:

We offer complimentary Starlink High-Speed internet access. The Wifi is accessed by entering the information requested as you would in a coffee shop or airport. Once the information is entered, you will have unlimited high-speed access during your stay without being required to enter your information again.

Network TV is provided via Dish Network that delivers you both local networks and all the best channels. A channel and TV use guide is available in the living room. Feel free to sign in and use any personal Netflix or similar accounts however you are responsible for signing out of your personal accounts prior to checkout.

Fires must be completely extinguished when an adult is not fireside.
